Cruiser Olympia

Part of Philadelphia's Independence Seaport Museum, the Olympia warship played an important role in United States naval history. Launched in 1892, the Olympia is the oldest steel warship still afloat in the world and the oldest surviving ship of the Spanish-American War, in which it served as Admiral Dewey's flagship at the Battle of Manila Bay. The vessel is a National Historic Landmark and open for tours.
