Independence Seaport Museum
On the Delaware River Waterfront in Philadelphia’s Historic District, the Independence Seaport Museum offers a perspective on the history and science of the nearby waterway. Inside, visitors can explore a full-size reconstruction of the 1797 schooner Diligence and interact with the Delaware’s ecology in River Alive!. Outside, the Spanish-American War Cruiser Olympia (pictured) and World War II Submarine Becuna are available for touring too.
